International Society for Stem Cell Research
There seems to be so much on the horizon with this research - but the voice of reason too often goes unheard....My point is; - for all the people out there that are against embryonic stem cell research because of the "right to life" of the embryo, I am already alive - what about my rights? And the right to a decent quality oaf life?
Further, as I am only 44, I am still menstral, and so capable of producing my own supply of ovum. I do not carry any particular torch for embryonic research over research being carried out in other ways.
However, as a long-term sufferer of this disease, I realise that ALL research is good and should be funded by Governments and others to aid in the discovery of a cure for this or any disease.
